Honors Game Jam 2017
Organizer and Adviser
I organized a 48-hour game jam at UAH with four other Honors students on November 10, 2017. In preparation, we taught three crash courses in art, sound, and programming (see below). During the jam, I helped students with issues they ran into over the course of the weekend. I also ran the itch.io page that collected the games.

Honors Mentor
UAH Honors College
I walked with a small handful of freshmen through their first year of college, helping them succeed in classes, guiding them in interacting with peers, and directing them to the resources they needed when they needed help.
This is a huge passion of mine. I love how personal mentoring truly is. It's an experience like no other, and I feel I made a real difference in each mentee's life. I was a mentor from Summer 2016 through Spring 2019.
Pictured is my whole mentee family - I have great great grandmentees!

HGJ17 Crash Course -Â Intro to GameMaker: Studio
Top-Down Coin Collector Presentation
To prepare zero-experience students for the Honors Game Jam 2017, I presented a follow-along crash course on making a small game in GameMaker: Studio on October 22, 2017. I spent one hour teaching fundamentals for a simple top-down game, then I held a thirty-minute optional session afterward on expanding the game. Download the game here!
